We invite you to join us for a unique dining experience and tour of our beautiful sanctuary during Ghostwalk New Bern. "The Catacombs at Centenary" will be open Saturday night from 5-8pm, where the Centenary monks will be serving pasta with sauce, salad, bread, and sweet potato pie for $10 for adults and $7 for children (cash only). In addition to the dining experience, we will be offering sanctuary tours that include musical selections featuring The Phantom of the Opera performed by Colby Griffin.
Centenary United Methodist Church of New Bern, NC purchased the mighty Létourneau organ in May 2004. This exquisite organ, Op. 91, was made in Quebec, Canada and consists of 38 stops and 33 ranks, totaling 1861 pipes. The "state-of-the-art" organ is equipped with solid state combination action which includes two digital control panels with 64 levels of memory and a disk reader. In addition to its beautiful foundation sounds, the organ includes chimes and a zimbelstern.
After your sanctuary visit, we encourage you to tour New Bern after dark with the Ghostwalk. Now in its 35th year, Ghostwalk is a family-friendly fall event that combines spirits from New Bern's past, talented local volunteer actors, historic sites, and a fun-filled, creative environment. Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind event!
Restrooms are available for your convenience.
We look forward to seeing you!
