Cardiology Update 2026 is a two-day, in-person continuing education program that provides family physicians, general practitioners, internists, cardiologists, nurses, residents, and other health care professionals with practical, evidence-informed updates in cardiovascular care. Through expert-led sessions, case-based discussions, panel conversations, and a keynote lecture, participants will explore current guideline recommendations, recent landmark clinical trials, emerging therapies, and evolving technologies across a broad range of topics, including coronary artery disease, antithrombotic therapy, arrhythmias, heart failure, cardiomyopathies, structural heart disease, perioperative care, and longitudinal cardiovascular management. This program will offer clinically relevant strategies to support informed decision-making and optimize care for patients across the cardiovascular disease continuum.Target Audience
Family Physicians, General Practitioners, Internists, Cardiologists, Nurses, Residents, and Other Health Care Professionals.
Overall Learning Objectives
By attending this activity, participants will be able to:
-Apply contemporary evidence and guideline recommendations to optimize the diagnosis and management of common cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, and perioperative cardiovascular disease.
-Integrate evidence from recent landmark cardiovascular clinical trials (2025–2026) into patient care, including advances in antithrombotic therapy, cardiometabolic medicine, heart failure, structural heart disease, and electrophysiology.
-Develop practical management strategies for complex cardiovascular patients, including those with watch-detected atrial fibrillation, left atrial appendage occlusion, cardiorenal syndrome, refractory heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac complications of cancer therapies.
-Incorporate emerging therapies and evolving technologies—including factor XI inhibition, GLP-1 receptor agonists, minimally invasive cardiac interventions, radiotherapy for ventricular tachycardia, genetic testing, and novel surgical approaches—into evidence-based cardiovascular practice where appropriate.
-Optimize longitudinal cardiovascular care by applying best practices for prevention, perioperative evaluation, post-procedural follow-up, rehabilitation, lifestyle counselling, return-to-work recommendations, and appropriate referral pathways across the continuum of cardiovascular disease.
