Learn practical skills to quiet racing thoughts, manage anxiety, and break stress patterns... backed by neuroscience, taught in community.
About this Event

Feeling like your brain never shuts off? This 8-week MBCT program teaches you practical mindfulness skills to manage stress, anxiety, and the constant mental chatter that keeps you running on empty.

This evidence-based program blends the highlights of mindfulness meditation, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and self-compassion practices. Each week builds skills to regulate emotions, tolerate distress and respond to life’s challenges with more calm and clarity.

MBCT has been shown to lower cortisol levels, improve mood, and enhance overall well-being. It has also been shown to reduce the risk of depressive relapse by at leat 50%. Whether you are new to mindfulness or looking to deepen your practice, this program offers a structured, supportive environment to help you grow. This is a sister program to the famous Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, which also has decades of scientific backing.

What you'll gain:

  • Tools to respond to stress rather than react
  • Techniques to quiet worrying about past/future
  • Skills to step out of autopilot and be present
  • Practices for self-compassion when you're struggling
  • Guided meditations you can use anywhere

What's included: 8 weekly 3-hour sessions | Handbook with practice guides | Access to guided meditation recordings | Certificate of completion

Led by Angie Kingma, RP: Certified Mindfulness Teacher who's been facilitating MBCT since 2011. On faculty at Centre for Mindfulness Studies and recognized on Mindful.org and Access MBCT international directories.

Investment: $600 (Reimbursed through Extended Health Benefits)

Location: Burlington, ON (specific address shared upon registration)
