About this Event
Practical Attachement
What if healthier relationships start with feeling safe in your own skin?
Picture it: Friday night. Lights low, cushions soft, a warm drink in your hand, and for three whole hours nobody needs anything from you.
Practical Attachment is an evening where you finally figure out why you love, fight, and connect the way you do, and then get to feel what it's like to do it from a calmer place. It's not a lecture, and it's not group therapy. It's a night out that happens to change things.
How the night unfolds
- A Ritual Welcome: arrive, settle in, and let the week fall off your shoulders.
- The Discovery: an interactive attachment-style assessment, live in the room. No more guessing from internet quizzes.
- The Practical Side: how your style shows up at work, with family, and in love, through two therapists' lenses.
- The Shift: real tools for the moments your emotions take the wheel, like the text you're dying to send or the conversation you keep avoiding.
- The Somatic Anchor: learn what calm actually feels like in your body, so you can find your way back to it when life gets loud.
- The Closing Ceremony: guided breathwork flowing into a candlelit tea meditation.
Every ticket includes
The full 3-hour experience, adaptogen drinks and light grazing, a take-home Regulation Kit, and a printed keepsake packet with your attachment-style assessment, somatic practices, worksheets, and journaling prompts.
Who it's for
Anyone ready to work on the relationship they have with themselves, and the ones they have with everyone else. Come solo, or bring your partner, your best friend, your sister, or your mom. This space is intentionally welcoming to women, queer and non-binary folks, and people of color.
Good to know
- Wear something soft. There's floor work and breathwork.
- Mats, bolsters, and cushions are provided. Just bring yourself.
- The breathwork is gentle and always optional.
Your guides
Sakena Whilby, LPC, LMHC, founder of Exhale Therapy. Before becoming a therapist, Sakena spent nearly 15 years in corporate HR at companies like Google and Siemens, so she knows attachment shows up in the boardroom as much as the bedroom. Tonight she bridges how attachment shapes self, work, and family.
Bryce Connor, MS, LPC (they/them), licensed professional counselor: neurodivergent, queer, mixed, and unapologetically warm. Tonight they bridge how attachment shows up in romantic relationships.
Friday the 13th has never felt so safe. Grab your spot, and maybe your person.
