With bushfire season approaching, now is a great time to start thinking about how prepared your home and property are.
Come along, meet your local volunteer firefighters, have a look at some of the equipment used during bushfires and pick up practical information to help you prepare for the season ahead.
🚒 There’ll be plenty to see and do:
🔥 Meet members of your local Two Rocks Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade
🚒 See Hose-A, the mini fire truck
🚨 Check out our friends North Coastal Fire Brigade’s Incident Control Vehicle
📚 Pick up bushfire preparedness information and resources
🌿 Grab a copy of the Firewise Garden booklet, with information to help you choose fire safe plants for around your home.
And of course, there’ll be something to eat and drink too!
☕ The Coffee Lizard
🍦 Monsieur Whippy
🌭 Sausage sizzle
Bring the family and a picnic blanket, find a spot on the grass and make a morning of it! Enjoy a coffee, ice cream or sausage sizzle while the kids check out Hose-A, and take the opportunity to meet your local brigade and learn more about preparing for bushfire season.
Prepare • Be Aware • Stay Safe
We’d love to see you there! 🚒🔥
