About this Event
What is Burrito Brigage Chicago?
Burrito Brigade originated in 2014 in Eugene, Oregon. In 2020, the co-founders brought it to Chicago. Once a month, on a Sunday, between 450-550 burritos are made by volunteers at a church on the southside and delivered all over the city. Over 200 of those burritos are delivered to the bike team in Pilsen.
What is the bike distribution?
We meet at about 2:30pm in the parking lot next to Plaza Tenochtitlán in Pilsen. We seperate into 2 groups with one heading west and one staying near the Loop. We ride our bikes around the city visiting missions and encampments and feed hungry Chicagoans as we ride.
What do I need to bring?
Your bike and good vibes! We will have cargo bikes to do the heavy lifting. If you have panniers or a back pack, feel free to bring, but it is by no means a requirement. Plan for the weather! Dress for the weather and definintely bring something to stay hydrated during the summer months.
