About this Event
Runners make up a huge part of most MSK caseloads, yet the same four presentations come through the door again and again: anterior knee pain, plantar heel pain, Achilles tendinopathy and proximal hamstring tendinopathy.
This practical, in-person day is designed to help you assess these injuries with confidence and build rehab programmes that actually get runners back to running. You will spend most of the day on your feet, practising assessment and loading strategies on each other, rather than sitting through slides.
You will leave with a clear, repeatable framework for each condition, from first assessment through to return to run.
Who is this course for?
- Physiotherapists, sports therapists and sports rehabilitators working with running populations
- Clinicians who want more confidence managing runners in MSK, private practice or sports settings

- Isometric, heavy slow resistance and plyometric progression
- Building a criteria-based return to running plan
Proximal hamstring tendinopathy
- Clinical tests and ruling out differentials
- Managing compressive load and aggravating positions
- Progressive hamstring loading from isometrics to speed
- Returning to hills, speed work and racing
Learning outcomes
By the end of the day you will be able to:
- Carry out a structured subjective and objective assessment for each of the four conditions.
- Use practical capacity tests to guide rehab and measure progress.
- Prescribe and progress evidence-based loading programmes.
- Apply clear criteria for a safe return to running.
