Ready to boost your confidence and have a blast? Join our in-person improv course designed specifically for those with a bit of beginners experience! Over 8 fun-filled weeks, you'll learn more about, and build on the basics of improvisation, meet awesome people, and discover how to think on your feet. Some experience preferred— bring yourself as you are. Let's laugh, play, and create together!

This 8-week course is designed especially for those with some beginners experience. You don't need much improv experience—but a willingness to give it a go, goes a long way. You don't have to be naturally funny, quick-witted or outgoing either. Improv is a skill that anyone can learn.
Our sessions are friendly, playful and encouraging, creating a space where you can relax, try new things, practice what you know already and enjoy yourself without pressure or judgement. Many people come to improv to build confidence, meet new people, think more creatively or simply have fun after work.
Improv isn't stand-up comedy. You're never expected to perform on your own or tell jokes. Instead, you'll work together with your fellow classmates, learning how to support each other as you create spontaneous scenes, characters and stories through simple games and exercises.
Over 8 weekly sessions you'll gradually develop and build on the core principles of improvisation while getting to know your group in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. Every week builds on the last, helping you feel more confident, creative and comfortable taking risks.
Throughout the course you'll explore skills including:
* Saying "Yes, And..."
* Listening and reacting in the moment
* Building confidence
* Letting go of overthinking
* Working as a team
* Creating characters and relationships
* Storytelling and scene-building
* Creativity, spontaneity and imagination
* Supporting your scene partners
* Most importantly... playing, laughing and having fun!
Whether you're looking to boost your confidence, meet like-minded people, improve your communication skills or simply expand on what you've already learned, this course is a great place to do so.
By the end of the 8 weeks, you'll have learned more about the foundations of improv and built on them with further experience, shared plenty of laughs, and become part of a friendly and supportive community. Many students continue on to further classes, socials and performance opportunities—but there's absolutely no expectation to perform if that's not your goal.

🚪 Finding the Peel:
The Peel is situated on the corner of Northampton Road and Corporation Row. Please note; Northampton Road is a sort of U shape.
From Farringdon Road walk to the end of Bowling Green Lane and it's on your left.

Anything you like! There’ll be some movement, so looser/comfy clothing is ideal — but there’s no dress code.
