About this Event
Join us for an evening of champagne and conversation with artist Jamie Bennett, celebrating Thinking in Color, an exhibition bringing together new work, archival jewelry, and drawings spanning several decades of his remarkable career. Meet the artist, explore the exhibition, and raise a glass!
Jamie Bennett: Thinking in Color brings together new work, archival jewelry spanning several decades, and drawings that offer insight into the artist’s enduring exploration of color, form, and composition. Rather than presenting a chronological survey, the exhibition considers the relationships between works made at different moments in Bennett’s career. His distinctive approach to enamel blurs the boundaries between painting and jewelry, while the drawings reveal another dimension of his visual language. Together, these works illuminate a practice shaped by curiosity, experimentation, and a continuing dialogue between material, color, and form.
Jamie Bennett is one of the most influential figures in contemporary art jewelry, internationally recognized for his groundbreaking work in enamel. Over a career spanning five decades, he has expanded the expressive possibilities of jewelry through his extraordinary command of color, form, and composition. His work is represented in major museum collections worldwide, and his contributions as both an artist and educator have helped shape the field of contemporary jewelry.
This exhibition is produced by Sienna Patti.
