About this Event
BRUMWIM - Know your rights!
The numbers don't lie: Marketing Week's 2026 Career & Salary Survey found a 21.7% gender pay gap among full-time marketing workers, up from 17.8% the previous year - despite over 72% of the industry identifying as female. Add to that a decline in women holding senior creative leadership titles, dropping from 30% in 2022 to just 25.6% in 2024, and it's clear: talent isn't the problem. The system is.

Our final BRUMWIM session of 2026, brings together marketing and creative professionals, women and allies, for an honest, practical conversation about the issues too often left unspoken in our industry:
We’ll be tackling some of the issues women can face throughout their careers, including:
- Pregnancy and maternity rights
- Fair pay and unequal pay
- Discrimination in the workplace
- Sexual harassment and bullying
- What employers should be doing to protect employees
- What to do when something doesn’t feel right
- Understanding the laws and policies that can protect you
- Speaking up and the barriers that can make that difficult
Whether you've experienced these issues firsthand, want to be a better ally, or simply want to understand your rights at work, this is a space to learn, ask questions, and connect with others who get it.
With networking, audience Q&A, hospitality from The Eastside Room and the usual BRUMWIM buzz, come and join us as it’s our last event of 2026.
