About this Event
Learn the basics of bonsai techniques to work and style your own bonsai tree.
'Gilly' the Brazilian Raintree, considered to be one of the most beautiful trees of the coastal rainforests in Central and South America. Gilly is an easy-care indoor tree that can grow to be a much larger tree in the wild. The Brazilian Tree's natural zig-zag branch growth and its tiny leaves that close-up at night make for the perfect pet-like bonsai tree. Not to mention it is a very hardy tree that can endure tough conditions if watered well. Likes bright indirect light and temperatures above 50F.
Learn basic bonsai techniques to start transforming plants into bonsai. Learn why it is important to have a good soil mix, how to look at and prune roots, and how to choose the right angles when repotting. Take this knowledge home and apply it to other plants as well.
This class is for beginners to intermediate.
