Join Cactus Moon for an afternoon of plants, sunshine and a creative magic at Pete’s Bagels in Ybor!
In this beginner-friendly cyanotype workshop, we’ll use botanicals and light-sensitive paper to create beautiful, deep-blue botanical prints using one of the oldest photographic printing processes.
You’ll arrange leaves, flowers and other botanical elements to create your own compositions, expose them to the Florida sunshine, and watch your prints transform as they’re rinsed and developed.
Your ticket includes:
• Materials to create four botanical cyanotype prints
• Light-sensitive cyanotype paper
• Botanicals to work with
• All necessary workshop materials and tools
• Step-by-step guidance from Cactus Moon
• Four unique pieces of botanical art to take home
No art or cyanotype experience is necessary. This workshop is designed to be easy, approachable and fun for first-timers.
We’ll have some botanicals available, but you’re also encouraged to bring a few interesting leaves, flowers, ferns or other flat botanical treasures of your own to experiment with and make your prints especially personal.

We’re thrilled to be popping up at Pete’s Bagels! Food and beverages are not included with your workshop ticket, but guests are encouraged to order from Pete’s menu before / while we create.
A few things to know
Space is intentionally limited to just 10 participants so everyone has room to create and receive hands-on guidance.
The workshop will begin promptly at 1 PM and is expected to last approximately one hour.
Because cyanotype printing uses natural sunlight, exact exposure times and results can vary, which is part of the magic. Every print will be completely unique.
