About this Event
The University of Ottawa Press invites you to celebrate the work of Pierre Raphaël Pelletier at Café Miracle, which he is particularly fond of. To mark the reissue of three of his works by Éditions Duo (Victor, Temps de vie, and Sur les profondeurs de l’île), we will pay tribute to a multifaceted creator: poet, writer, philosopher, visual artist, and cultural activist. This event will be an opportunity to discover or rediscover these works of poetry and prose through a discussion with the author, a reading of excerpts, and a book-signing, all in a friendly atmosphere conducive to conversation.

Sur les profondeurs de l'île
Jean Josse is a tireless walker who clings to anything that can offer him a sense of permanence, however fragile and fragmentary it may be. As he wanders between Ottawa and Old Hull, he relentlessly pursues Vée, an elusive woman with green eyes who always seems to slip away from him.
