About this Event
After leaving a 22 year career as a music supervisor in 2023, I'm loving bringing the transformative power of sound to others in a whole new way.
My gong Athena, The Goddess of Wisdom is for sure the most powerful gong in Sussex. A bespoke design and creation just for me, infused with intention, emotion and a powerful story. She was born on a mountain side in Wales, at the hands of a gifted shamanic maker, taking her colours from the fire she came from. He crafted Athena using my story about trauma and darkness, alchemising it into light. Her sounds, vibrations and guidance will bring insight, clarity and depth to your human experience. I can't wait for you to meet her!
My intention with these Body Wisdom sound baths is to help you unplug from the unhelpful noise of the mind, and reconnect with the infinite wisdom of your body, and perhaps wrap your arms around your soul. It will be magical.
What to expect
A sound bath uses a range of instruments and playing styles to support relaxation, balance and healing in the body. Some of the sounds are harmonising, while some are more dissonant; both can bring on emotional responses which differ from person to person. Your own response to the sounds will depend on what is going on for you in your life, your body, your mind, on the particular day of the experience. Sometimes an alternated state of consciousness or psychedelic experience can occur.
If the sound bath brings up anything uncomfortable for you and you feel you need support, please speak to me confidentially after the event and I will help and/or sign post you to another professional more suitable for your needs.
I'll start with a gentle guided metitation to help you land and settle into relaxation.
What to bring
It is essential to bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, eye mask and anything else you require for comfort as the venue does not provide these. Your body temperature will drop during the sound bath
Please bring a bottle of water and a note pad in case you have a moment of insight and want to jot something down.
Please do not be late - once I have started the meditation the doors will be closed and there will no entry.
IMPORTANT INFO
Sound baths are NOT suitable if you are are under 3 months pregnant, have sound enduced epilepsy, have metal implants (excluding fillings), a pace maker, a severe mental health problem. If you have any questions or concerns please email me on [email protected]
