1st Annual Anmial Blessing with Bob Echols & Rev. Linda Fisher.Sunday, Ocotnber 4th at 10:30AM
We are taking our Sunday Gathering outside and down to the Bay.
Location: American Legion Post 199
The Humane Society is joining us and will have animals for adoption available.
ADDITIONAL GUIDANCE FOR THE BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS
The date is October 4, 2026, and the celebration will commence at 10:30 AM.
The locale is the Tiki Bar area of American Legion Post 199 on S. 700 Mobile St. in Fairhope. Note—this area is right on the beach adjacent to Mobile Bay.
There is ample parking on the Post 199 property, and there will be signs directing visitors to the area where the blessing will take place. The stairs down to the beach area are a bit steep, but there is a ramp down to that area that has a much gentler slope.
There will be picnic tables for seating, but anyone who wishes to bring folding chairs may certainly do so.
Restrooms will be available at beach level. Water will likely be available, but you are advised to bring beverages for yourself and water for your pets.
As for pets, please be sure that your pets have up to date vaccinations and are either secured in a carrier or otherwise on a leash or harness. Remember we are guests on Legion property, so please clean up after your pet.
If your pet or other favorite animal is a bit rambunctious, can’t be transported to our celebration, or is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge, please bring his/her photo to be blessed.
If you think you might want to adopt one of the animals brought to the celebration by the Humane Society, we suggest you contact the Humane Society first to understand their adoption requirements and procedures. Their # is (251) 928-4585.
In the case of inclement weather we’ll reschedule.
God bless you for coming and for the love of animals, all God’s creation.
