General Tickets on sale Friday, October 9.
Artists Simon and Niki Haas join Blanton Chief Curator and Deputy Director of Collections Carter Foster for a conversation exploring their current mid-career retrospective. Together, they’ll reflect on the brothers’ growing up in Austin and the influence of the city’s creative culture in the 1990s on their work; their collaborative approach to working with one another, other artists, and fabricators; the role of popular culture in shaping their subject matter; and their focus on craft as an essential part of both the process and meaning of their work.
📚 Book Signing Included: Get your Uncanny Valley catalogue signed by the brothers at the end of the talk. Purchase a copy in our Museum Store (members get 10% off every purchase).
