Get a feel for life at Blackheath High Senior School at one of our exciting taster mornings for Year 5 pupils. Girls are welcome to join us for either the Midsummer Shakespeare Festival on Saturday 20 June, or at our Young Entrepreneurs Enterprise Morning, taking place on Tuesday 23 June.
Please note, due to high demand, we ask that you please only register your daughter for one of these Taster Mornings.
OPTION 1) Midsummer Shakespeare Festival
Saturday 20 June - 9am to12pm
" Though she be but little, she is fierce" (A Midsummer Night's Dream, Act III)
Girls are invited to step into the spotlight at our exciting Midsummer Shakespeare Festival! Through exciting English and Drama workshops, pupils will grow in confidence, sharpen their speaking and acting skills, and discover their inner performer. Along the way, they’ll unlock the magic of Shakespeare’s language, exploring the rhythm, drama and power of iambic pentameter in an accessible and fun way.
We will be providing mid-morning refreshments.
OPTION 2) The Big Smoothie Challenge
Tuesday 23 June - 8.45am to 12.45pm
Calling all young entrepreneurs to join us for an exciting morning of creativity, enterprise and innovation.
Working in teams and supported by our specialist teachers, girls will create their own smoothie brand from scratch, developing everything from product concept and marketing strategy to advertising visuals and even a catchy jingle. Using their design, computing, communication, maths and negotiation skills, teams will tackle a series of challenges across the morning as they bring their brands to life.
Lunch will be provided.
The morning will start promptly at 8.45am, and girls will be ready for collection after lunch at approximately 12.45pm.
Places for these events are limited, so we recommend registering as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
