Yolo Bird Alliance offers ‘Birding for Beginners’—a series of bird-watching walks.
New this fall, Yolo Bird Alliance is offering a series of bird walks in the local area for people who are new to birding. The first walk is Saturday, October 17 at the UC Davis Putah Creek Riparian Reserve. Meet at 8 AM at the parking spaces near the intersection of Hopkins Road and Levee Road, west of Highway 113.
We will finish by about 10:30 AM. Bring binoculars and water and wear sturdy shoes for walking on uneven ground. Children are welcome. Further trips will be advertised in the Burrowing Owl and on the YBA website and Facebook page.
If you have questions, contact Michael Perrone at [email protected] or Sonjia Shelly at [email protected].
Yolo Bird Alliance field trips are free and open to the public.
