About this Event
Screening Room B - More than 1.1 million Americans are living with HIV today — and over half of all new diagnoses occur in the American South. Beyond the Diagnosis steps past the statistics and into the living rooms of three women who were handed a diagnosis meant to end their story and decided, instead, to write a different ending. In Jackson, Mississippi, Dominique Grant turns her status into a megaphone. In Baton Rouge, minister and advocate Dr. Joyce Turner-Keller makes her home a house of healing. And Millicent Foster, whose story was once a whisper, learns to say the words out loud. Narrated by Santia Bailey, this is a film about faith, chosen family, and the right to be known. They live beyond.
