About this Event
YOU’RE THE ONE PEOPLE COUNT ON.
WHEN DO YOU GET TO CHECK IN WITH YOU?
You answer the call. Cover the shift. Handle the family need. Keep showing up for your neighbors and community. You may be good at getting through the day and still be carrying more than you want to keep carrying.
Beyond Survival gives you six Tuesday evenings to slow down, look closely at what’s happening in your life, and decide what you want to do next—with practical tools and support from a community of adults doing their own work, too.
THIS IS THE WORK WE’LL DO
A last-minute request comes in. You say yes before checking your schedule or asking yourself what you need. The moment passes, but your time is gone and frustration builds.
In Beyond Survival, we’ll examine everyday patterns like this with curiosity—not blame. We’ll look at what a response does for you in the moment, what it may cost later, and where a pause, a boundary, a different choice, or added support might help. We’ll also look at the real-life conditions around your choices: responsibilities, stress, relationships, resources, and access to support. This isn’t a lecture telling you to “just think differently.” It’s guided work you can connect to your actual life.
WHAT HAPPENS EACH TUESDAY
Each session includes a welcome and shared focus, a short lesson in plain language, conversation about how the topic shows up in everyday life, a guided workbook activity, and time to choose a practical next step. You decide what you share. You can pass or complete an activity privately.

YOUR SIX-WEEK PATH
Week 1 — Recognize survival patterns. Map life as it is now and identify a pattern you want to understand.
Week 2 — Design your identity. Create a statement about who you choose to be.
Week 3 — Clarify your values and needs. Identify what matters and what you need before choosing a strategy.
Week 4 — Practice the qualities you want. Turn a quality or response into a clear action you can try.
Week 5 — Work through a recurring problem. Map what keeps happening and identify personal and community support.
Week 6 — Create your forward plan. Choose a next step, set a 30-day direction, and build a support map.
WHAT YOU’LL BUILD
You’ll leave with tools made during the program: a “My Life Now” map, an identity statement and check-in, a values-and-needs map, a practice card, a recurring-problem map, and a forward plan with a 72-hour action and support map. These are yours to revisit and use after the group ends.
WHO’S LEADING THE GROUP
I’m Lanica “Mz. Goldie Gold” Jones, a Certified Professional Life Coach and Colorado Certified Community Health Worker. I created Beyond Survival to bring coaching and community health together: personal reflection, practical action, and attention to the resources and conditions that shape everyday choices.
WHO SHOULD JOIN
This group is for adults who want to understand a pattern, get clearer about what they need, and choose a next step with support. Bring your lived experience. You don’t need to have everything figured out, and you never have to share more than you choose.
Beyond Survival offers educational coaching, reflection, resource awareness, and action planning. It does not provide therapy, diagnosis, medical care, case management, legal or financial advice, or crisis support.
