Best Florida Beer hosts the official awards ceremony for the 2026 Oktoberfest Professional Competition on the patio at Blind Tiger Seminole Heights.
Florida's professional breweries entered across German and American style categories, including Oktoberfest and Marzen, Helles, Pilsener, Kolsch, wheat beers, smoke beers and specialty entries. Judging took place September 5 and 6 with BJCP-certified judges, Cicerones and working brewers using the 2026 Brewers Association guidelines. On the 19th the medals get handed out, along with Best of Show and the Heavy Medalist Das Boot Awards.
WHO SHOULD BE THERE
Brewery owners, head brewers and taproom crews waiting on results. Judges, stewards and volunteers from the September judging sessions. Distributors, reps and anyone working in Florida beer. And Tampa Bay craft beer drinkers who want to taste the winners and meet the people who made them.
WHAT IS POURING
Blind Tiger Seminole Heights runs 35 taps with a heavy Florida lean, including Cigar City, Coppertail, Barrie Haus, Magnanimous, Florida Avenue, 7venth Sun, Motorworks, Marker 48, Green Bench and Common Dialect.
Alongside them is a German draft lineup: Oberdorfer Helles, Hofbrau Dunkel by the liter, Veltins Pilsener and Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen. We will pour award-winning beers from the competition wherever we can get our hands on them.
The kitchen is open through the ceremony with wings, flatbreads and all-day breakfast. The patio is dog friendly.
