Synopsis
Open source offers early-career professionals a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop practical skills, and contribute to real-world projects. For neurodivergent individuals, it also provides alternative ways to engage with tech communities, build confidence, and explore non-traditional career paths. In this session, Nicola Martin FBCS, Founder and Coach at NMC&C and Early Careers Advocate for NeurodiverseIT, shares how she would approach a career in open source if starting out today as a neurodivergent professional.
