About this Event
The inhumane treatment of refugees and asylum seekers in the UK and other European countries is taking a terrible toll on their mental health and psychosocial wellbeing. This event, organized by United Against Inhumanity (UAI) and the University of East London (UEL), will examine the causes and consequences of the distress experienced by many refugees and ask what can be done to address this issue more effectively. The event will also launch the Manifesto of UAI's Campaign to Stop the Inhumanity at Europe's Borders, which is supported by 160 civil society organizations throughout the continent.
