Join Kendall in the redwoods for an afternoon of breath, movement, sound, and rest - a chance to release spring and summer, root back into the earth as we enter a new season, and reconnect with your body, your joy, and the people around you.

This is a space for rest and joy, not trauma work or a healing intensive - a place to feel alive and remember what it's like to be fully present in your body, nature, and community.

How the day unfolds:

Opening Circle

We'll gather in circle, introduce ourselves, and set the tone for the afternoon together. We'll open the space with a few cleansing collective breaths and an om.

Land Acknowledgment

We'll pause to honor the Muwekma Ohlone people, on whose land we gather, and their ongoing fight for their rights to it.

Grounding Breathwork & Meditation

Next we'll move through prāṇāyāma (breathwork) practices that stimulate the vagus nerve, lower cortisol, and shift the nervous system out of stress and into regulation. Then, we'll transition into a guided meditation accompanied by the crystal bowls and light sound healing.

Journaling & Reflection

After the meditation, there will be a short journaling prompt, followed by optional small-group sharing.

Movement & Expression

We'll begin on our mats with gentle yoga āsana (postures), eventually building into freer, expressive somatic movement and dance - clearing out the energy of spring and summer as we prepare for the fall season.

Restorative Wind-Down

Folks will arrange their mats for the sound meditation, with mats closer experiencing the sensations more strongly. After coming to the ground, we'll move into restorative yoga postures as we prepare for rest.

Sound Meditation

Blankets and eye masks come out, and we'll settle into a final resting posture. During śavāsana, you'll be held by a ~40 minute live orchestral sound meditation - composed primarily in the keys of C and G across the third to fifth octaves - featuring crystal bowls, Tibetan & Nepalese bowls, gong, chimes, rainstick, ocean drum, and more. This harmonic instrument layering supports brainwave entrainment, guiding your mind out of active thinking and into the Alpha and Theta states associated with deep rest and emotional processing.

Closing Circle

After the sound meditation, we'll have a few moments of silence, followed by a closing circle. We'll finish with a few cleansing breaths and a closing om and mantra.

This experience is designed to help you:
  • Release what spring and summer held, and arrive fully in your body before fall and winter
  • Reconnect with joy, play, aliveness and rest
  • Root into the earth and into connection with others
  • Receive deep restoration through live sound healing

About Your Host

Kendall is a certified sound meditation practitioner, yoga teacher, and lifelong lover of music and movement. Drawing from formal training in piano and a highly attuned musical ear, she approaches sound through a symphonic lens - composing intentional soundscapes that guide the body toward parasympathetic activation, improved sleep, and greater emotional resilience. Her approach is grounded in training, inspired by devotion, and shaped by a deep love for her community, the earth, and the power of intentional rest.
