Baba Obscura is a four-day, multi-venue music and arts festival taking over Seattle’s Pioneer Square from November 5–8, 2026. A collaborative production between Baba Yaga, the founder of Desert Daze, and Seattle partners Sonic Guild, Freakout, and Paper Plane Music, the festival will bring together 50+ local, national, and international artists across 6+ stages and venues.
Inspired by festivals including SXSW, Treefort, Freakout, and the former Upstream Music Fest + Summit, Baba Obscura transforms Pioneer Square into a walkable, neighborhood-wide celebration of music and art. Attendees can experience daytime DJ sets, pop-up performances, visual art and immersive installations alongside nighttime headline showcases and curated venue takeovers.
With a focus on emerging and established artists, Pacific Northwest talent, inclusivity, and discovery, Baba Obscura invites audiences to explore Pioneer Square through music, art, food, and culture—activating the neighborhood’s historic spaces and creating a festival experience that feels uniquely Seattle.
