Artist Talk for Against All Odds
Hosted by the Curator Minami Hofmann
Join us for a special Artist Talk featuring the artists behind the exhibition currently on display in the Nano Gallery at The DC Arts Center.
Hear directly from Minami Hofmann as they discuss the ideas, processes, and inspirations behind their exhibition. This engaging conversation offers a unique opportunity to ask questions, connect, and gain deeper insight into the works on display.
Against All Odds, a collection of acrylic-painted textile collages, represents a body of work spanning over 30 years by Black and Brown boys from Washington DC’s most under-served neighborhoods. The collaborative paintings are created within the organization Life Pieces To Masterpieces, a program that started with seven children creating artwork together and now serves over 120 boys from DC’s Wards 7 and 8.
