St Paul’s is among the rare Episcopal parishes in the country where this jewel of the Anglo-Catholic tradition is offered regularly, from September through Trinity each year. We invite you to end your 2nd and 4th Sundays each month (and additional Sundays in Advent and Lent) with this communal offering of sung prayer and holy devotion.
Evensong is sung Evening Prayer, with the readings from Scripture adorned by canticles and anthems sung by the choir. At Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, Our Lord Jesus Christ in His sacramental Presence is exposed at the High Altar for adoration, wreaths of incense and the Divine Praises accompanying. Together this liturgy at St Paul’s combines a rich Anglican tradition of choral music with timeless ceremony.
