About this Event
“We want rebel music, street music, music that breaks down people’s fear of one another. Crisis music, music that knows who the real enemy is. LOVE MUSIC HATE RACISM"
In September 2002, in Platt Fields, a Love Music Hate Racism Carnival took place with Ms Dynamite, The Doves and many others. It was organised to stop the British National Party, who had gained a foothold in Burnley.
Next year is the 25th Year anniversary, so, with the growing threat of the far right, can we do this again?
2028 is also the 50 year anniversary of the Northern Rock Against Racism Carnival in Alexandra Park.
To discuss this plan, we have invited a panel of musicians, artists and writers.
Please join us.
All antiracists welcome.
