The weather is cooling down, which means it’s time for beer, barbecue, and an old-fashioned pig-picking party!This year’s menu will feature a whole pig, a bunch of my almost-famous smoked chicken, and maybe a few other surprises depending on how the day goes.
Parking: Same as last year — first come, first served in our yard, with overflow parking down at St. John’s Lutheran Church. If you use the church parking, consider bringing a few canned goods for their Blessing Box.
I’ll have some beer I made on hand, and we’ll have coolers available if you want to bring something else to drink and share.
Bring a chair, bring a side dish if you feel like it, and come hang out with all the cool folks. It’s a come-as-you-are kind of day, so bring your appetite and your good mood.
And if you’re wondering how early the party starts… I’ll probably be out there cooking by 6:00 AM. 😎🔥🐖🍺
