• Simon Moya-Smith, 43, is an Oglala Lakota and Chicano writer and journalist. He has a Master of Arts in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Ethnic Studies from the University of Colorado Denver. His work appears in The Nation, NBC News, CNN, and New York Magazine among others. Moya-Smith, along with Julie Francella, Ojibwe, host the Indigenous-focused segment, We're Still Here, on SiriusXM Progress Ch. 127 with comedian John Fugelsang every Thursday at 11 a.m. PST/2 p.m. EST.
