In this introductory-level class we will create a fun piece of Halloween art using basic embroidery skills.
About this Event

Class Description

We will use chain stitch to create a 'Trick or Treat' design over Halloween-patterned cloth. We will then finish our hoop by gathering the spare material on the back using a running stitch, making it ready to hang or display.

Don't worry if you don't know any stitches or can't even thread a needle; we will go over everything you need to make the artwork.

The materials fee for this class is $10. This is separate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tools or materials used in this class. This will be paid once, directly to the instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor accepts Venmo.

If you are in need of any accomodations, please contact [email protected].

Learning Objectives
  • Learn chain stitch—a basic embroidery stitch that can be used to create lines and even fill areas with color.
  • Learn how to start and end stitches and finish an embroidery piece.
  • Create a colorful piece of Halloween art in a hoop that is ready to hang!
