“A magical pop-ambient mirrorworld" - The Guardian
Me Like One of the Others” (2026).

In English:
With moving harmonies and a clear, melancholic voice, Ana Roxanne creates music that feels like a comforting embrace on a bitterly cold day. The American composer and vocalist has captivated media such as Pitchfork and The Guardian with her distinctive sound, inhabiting the quiet space between ambient, jazz, minimalism and folk. We have been following Ana Roxanne for a long time – and are honoured to finally present her on our stage, when she visits ALICE with her duo and her new album “Poem 1” (2026). The concert is seated.
“A magical pop-ambient mirrorworld” – The Guardian
Born and raised in the Bay Area and now based in New York, Ana Roxanne has spent years shaping a deeply personal and subtly experimental musical universe. Resident Advisor has described her sound as “introverted euphoria”, while Pitchfork has called it “ecstatic” – words that capture the tension between her inward intensity and the almost ecstatic beauty that can emerge in her music. Roxanne grew up with jazz, R&B and classical music from her family’s record collection and Bay Area radio stations. Later, her studies and a choral programme took her to Iowa, before a journey to Uttarakhand, India, where she studied traditional Hindustani vocal techniques, became a defining moment in her artistic direction. Ana Roxanne released her debut EP in 2029 and, alongside her solo work, has also made her mark as a composer and collaborator with artists including Bernie Krause, Beverly Glenn-Copeland and DJ Python.
On her latest album, “Poem 1” (2026), she channels grief and heartbreak into her most open work to date. Piano figures, vulnerable vocals and synth drones move slowly through an album that feels like a form of musical catharsis refracted through a cinematic prism – where hope is found in the nuances, the slowness and the smoky melancholy. Like a warm embrace on a grey and hopeless winter’s day. Ana Roxanne has played festivals like Pitchfork Music Festival, Le Guess Who, Dekmantel, Rewire Festival and Glastonbury. She has been on ALICE’s radar for a long time, and we are honoured to present her this November.
Hasfeldt:
Danish artist Martin Jon Hasfeldt exists somewhere between art forms; between visual art, performance and music production. Under the alias Hasfeldt, he has performed in both more and less sacred spaces – from Roskilde Cathedral to Mayhem and ALICE. His electronic sound moves between the club-like and the ambient, with a nostalgic and searching quality, like an epic quest. We look forward to welcoming him back to ALICE this evening as the opening act for Ana Roxanne, following the release of his EP “Play Me Like One of the Others” (2026).
