The IEEE NSU Power & Energy Society Student Branch Chapter, in collaboration with the IEEE NSU Student Branch, is proud to present the “An Overview of Energy Yield Calculation using PVsyst” workshop as part of the IEEE Day 2026 celebrations. This workshop aims to familiarize participants with PVsyst, a widely used tool for designing and analyzing photovoltaic systems. As the global energy sector continues its transition towards sustainable and renewable sources of energy, learning how to evaluate and predict the performance of solar PV systems has become increasingly important for students, researchers, and energy professionals. PVsyst makes it possible to model a system and estimate its energy output.
Throughout the workshop, participants will get an overview of the simulation process in PVsyst for on-grid solar systems, including site and weather data selection, orientation parameters, bifacial systems, inverters, and string calculations. Participants will also get acquainted with the concept of solar system losses, energy management, and PVsyst report analysis.
The Instructor for this workshop is Mr. Abdul Fattah, who is an electrical engineer with 10 years of experience in renewable energy and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). He currently serves as the Technical Manager at Haier Energy Bangladesh.
Don’t miss this opportunity! Join this workshop to explore PVsyst and develop practical knowledge that can be applied to academic, research, and real-world renewable energy projects.
