About this Event
You're invited to Kilburn Library on 25th November for our panel discussion and Q&A centred on the intersectional exploration of violence within literature.
Join us as we turn our attention to the complexities of writing about violence and its impact on individuals and on communities, and how as readers we can compassionately navigate these topics. With this impassioned literary event, we invite you to take part in changing the narrative on conversations on violence, especially the social narratives we have in relation to sexual violence and domestic abuse.
Prior to the panel, attendees have the opportunity to visit and interact with community stalls between 3pm-6pm at Kilburn Library providing information on these and other related topics.
This literary panel event will discuss topics related to violence, including rape, sexual assault and domestic abuse which some attendees may find distressing. We encourage you to please exercise appropriate caution and care in attending, and kindly direct you to additional resources for further support.
