Join us at the James Joyce Centre for an evening with Portuguese writer Sandro William Junqueira, organised by the Embassy of Portugal to Ireland in collaboration with Literature Ireland, on the subject of his new book, The Architecture of Fear, on Tuesday, 20 October 2026 at 6.30pm. Moderated by Sinéad Mac Aodha, Director of Literature Ireland, this literary gathering will will foster a wide-ranging discussion about this exciting new novel.All are welcome, including book enthusiasts and members of the Portuguese-speaking community in Ireland.
Sandro William Junqueira is a Portuguese writer, theatre director and drama teacher whose work is distinguished by its literary depth and its focus on the psychological and symbolic dimensions of the human experience. His novel There Are No Lemons in Heaven (No Céu não há Limões) was a finalist for the 2015 Portuguese Writers’ Association’s Grand Prize for Fiction.
Doors open at 6pm. This event is free but booking is essential.
