About this Event
Paul Nicklen is a Canadian photographer, filmmaker and marine biologist. Raised among the Inuit on Baffin Island, he has won more than 30 major awards in photography and conservation, including BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year and World Press Photo. In 2019 he became the youngest person inducted into the International Photography Hall of Fame.
Over more than three decades, Nicklen has worked in some of the most extreme conditions on Earth. He has photographed the polar regions, the open ocean and the animals that depend on them, often at close quarters and in testing conditions. In this talk he will discuss the exhibition, his new book Reverence (Hemeria, 2026), and the patience, risk and respect behind the creation of each photograph.
The discussion will be followed by an audience Q&A. Guests will have the chance to see the exhibition, which brings together limited edition prints from across Nicklen’s career, from the ice of Svalbard to the deep waters off Dominica.
