Please join the AIA Detroit Board and membership at our 2026 Annual Meeting, taking place on Tuesday, November 10th, beginning at 6:00pm at Plante Moran's office in Southfield.
This meeting will include the annual report to the membership and the election of the 2027 AIA Detroit Board of Directors. We will discuss our successes from 2026 and look to what will be happening for the organization in 2027.
Food and beverages will be provided. We hope you will attend!

AIA DETROIT 2027 BOARD NOMINATIONS & ELECTIONS
All current AIA Detroit Members are encouraged send in nominations for the 2026 AIA Detroit Board of Directors. Nominees must be AIA Detroit members in good standing.
The AIAD Board meets the second Tuesday of every month, from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM. Aside from monthly governance, each Board Member serves on a Task Force that focusses on membership, the architectural practice, JEDI-related initiatives, resiliency, or fundraising.
The Executive Committee also meets once a month, virtually, on the first Friday of the month.
Please send nominations for the 2027 AIA Detroit board to [email protected] by 5pm on MONDAY, OCTOBER 19th. (Photo, bio, and statement of intent are mandatory for all nominees)
2027 Board of Directors; Open positions and Certified Candidates
Director Positions eligible for election:
• (1) Detroit Director (3-year term)
• (1) Allied Director (Must be Professional Allied Member; 1-year term)
• (1) Associate Director (Must be Associate Member; 1-year term)
Executive Committee positions eligible for election:
• (1) Treasurer (Must be Architect or Associate Member; 2-year term)
• (1) Vice President/President-Elect (Must be Architect Member; 3-year term, including succession to President and Past-President)
