Children typically explore and adopt new technological tools before their parents do. Artificial intelligence (AI) is no exception. So where does that leave parents?Join veteran educator Marianne Malmstrom, co-author of Literacies for AI-Ready Humans, for an open conversation about raising children in an AI-shaped world. No technical knowledge is required, and your questions set the agenda.
This isn't a conversation about whether AI is good or bad, nor a session of fear, hype, or one-size-fits-all answers. Instead, the conversation will explore the questions that matter most: What do children need from us? How do they develop the filter between their ears, the one no app can install? And why might the relationship you already have with your child become the most protective thing in your toolkit?
Marianne Malmstrom is an internationally recognised educator and researcher with 45 years of experience, the last 25 specialising in the intersection of learning and emerging technologies. Her work supports students, teachers, schools and families as they navigate the opportunities and challenges new technologies bring. Learn more about her work on her blog, Follow the Learning.
