Calling all Members! Before our monthly talk on 17 Nov we will run our AGM. Vote on proposals for future membership structure and fees and vote in your committee for 2026-2027. If members cannot attend they are encouraged to vote by proxy. Committee nominations close 31 October.
Proxy voting forms, agenda and reports are published in the member area of our website www.dorsetfhs.org.uk (Member area/Society meetings).
Proxy voting applications close 15 November.
The AGM will be followed by a talk by Brian and Jacqueline Sutton
who will share the story of a literary genius. Charles Dickens had a controversial private life and this presentation covers his social campaigning, his humour, the stories and characters. From ‘A Christmas Carol’ to ‘Pickwick Papers’ to ‘Oliver Twist’ and much more.
Doors open 19.00. No booking necessary. Admission £3.
Non members welcome to attend, but will not be able to participate in AGM business.
