Want something a bit more strategic and complex? Join us for an afternoon of friendly competitive play! We'll be running two styles of Mahjong:- Japanese Riichi Mahjong (リーチ麻雀)
- Hong Kong Style Mahjong, 3-Fan Minimum (港式麻雀 三番起糊)
It is recommended that you have the basics of Mahjong under your belt as we will be playing for points!
Our Hong Kong style rules can be found at
https://www.victoriamahjongclub.com/resources
For Riichi rules I recommend diginova's Riichi Cheat Sheets as an excellent list of possible hands in Riichi. His cheat sheet and teaching sheets are excellent.

We're happy to coach new players into Riichi as well, as it shares a lot of the same hands and features as Hong Kong style mahjong.
Finally if you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask in the Facebook group or reach out to us via email, Instagram or Bluesky.
Hope to see you there!
