About this Event
Every creative has a few headstones in their past. The Stretch Idea that never made it out of the internal review. The Creative Brief that got buried under “quick changes.” And of course, The Version They Asked For, which somehow turned out to be exactly what they didn’t want.
This Halloween season, we’re digging them all up.
Join AAF Midlands for Creative Graveyard, a night of the scariest, funniest, and most “please don’t put this in the case study” stories from some of Columbia’s best creative minds. Expect flopped pitches, cursed revisions, budgets that ghosted, and the occasional client who rose from the dead with “just one more tweak.”
We’re telling these stories somewhere fittingly spooky. he Mansion on Blanding is a 140-year-old Victorian beauty, built in 1886 by a man whose company made steam engines. (Fitting, for a night about ideas that ran out of steam.) It later housed a doctor’s office, so we’re not the first to do a post-mortem here. Is it haunted? We can’t confirm it. We can’t rule it out either. Creaky floors, old portraits, and a room full of creatives reliving their worst revisions? Something’s bound to go bump in the night.
So grab a drink, bring your bravest coworker, and come pay your respects to the ideas we’ve loved and lost. RIP to them. Long live the rest of us.
