welcome to slow burn dynamite's first queer connections event! 🤩
this is for the girls gays and theys who want to move away from the apps and more to real life connections. it's impossible to vibe check a few 2D photos - you've gotta meet in person!
very queer, maybe chaotic, defo fun. it'll be a great story & a laugh either way - and anyway, isn't it all about the friends (and dates) we made along the way?
fir espresso is a lush venue by the canal with an unreal sober menu of coffees, teas, and sugary treats (no tricks).
we want to help you connect in a low pressure, safe space - bi, queer, demi, pan, cis, NB, trans folks, all welcome 🌈 ages 25-40 (soz but we had to cut off somewhere).
what to expect 🔥
the night flows gently through a warm-up mingle, and a set of 1 to 1 convos with your handpicked matches based on your hobbies, interests and vibes.
midway through we'll have a collective breather, then gallavant onwards towards a set of fate-drawn matches (because queer connections are chaotic, and everyone in the room is a potential friend or more)
we finish with one last mingle so you can catch anyone you've had your eye on but not yapped with yet.
once you grab a ticket 🎟️
you'll get a short questionnaire so we can work our matchmaking magic - we might give you a lil prompt/starter for handpicked rounds, like "you both love crocheting tiny dinosaurs" - just enough to break the ice, not your full profile!
remember to be your full weird self - "you can't say the wrong thing to the right person" 🥰
don't worry about awkward mismatches either, because your name tag will show whether you're open to friendship, dating, or both, so everyone's on the same page from the beginning (we've all been there 🫠)

Info: 5 rounds of 1:1 conversations, matched by us based on your hobbies, interests, and/or vibes. each round is 5 minutes, with a 1 minute breather between to reset, laugh with the group, and catch your breath before switching. easy, breezy, flowing pace - no stressful rapid seat switching.
