About this Event
A/Owning is a new public artwork by José García Oliva, as part of Words in Public Spaces.
Working with local shop owners across the city, many of them migrant and second-generation families, José has adapted each awning into stages for a city-wide cultural programme. The words on the awnings come from a poem written collectively by people in Peterborough.
On the day, Ten Texts on Public Art, a live podcast by Andrea Francke and Matthew de Kersaint Girardeau, will be recorded at the different sites with members of the local public.
