About this Event
Come on out for our 6th Annual Juneteenth celebration: Saturday, June 20, 2025 , from 12pm to 3pm. This year we'll be on the West 128th Street block, between Frederick Douglass Blvd. & Saint Nicholas -- with all the same fun: music, street games, chess, FREE BIPOC books for K-12, readings, face painting, art projects, fresh juice, a magic show and good company.
We welcome everyone, friends old and new.
Hosted since 2021 by Kids Passport To Adventure and Made for Me Books, we do this for our community, to mark this important holiday with a joyful, family-friendly celebration. We bring you this event with our partners: Uptown Team Dreamers, Ayana Lowe (live music), Juiceworx Fusha dance co., Blue balloon and all of our volunteers.
Don't miss a chance to meet some neighbors, be in community and celebrate this day in history - when people who were still enslaved in Texas, were told they were finally FREE. Know your history!
