這是一個充滿活力與靈感的下午,活動涵蓋三場精彩對談、現場音樂演出及交流環節,匯聚香港與國際資深策展人和文化界人士,共同探討策展如何連結社群與創造社會價值。

Hong Kong Design Centre presents Curatorial Conversation #280, an afternoon of dynamic dialogue on the evolving role of curation in connecting communities, sustaining creative practice, and creating social value.
Featuring three focused Fireside Chat sessions, a special live musical performance, and networking, the programme brings together leading curators and cultural voices from Hong Kong and internationally.

對談 1 - 策展流程:從構思到呈現
本節對談將帶領聽眾深入了解展覽製作的背後過程,和展覽策展的生態。
策展人/講者將分享他們於策展路上經歷的各種高低起宕,解構如何由概念到設計、克服各種挑戰,將展覽呈現於大眾眼前。透過真實的展出項目,講者將討論策展人、藝術家和設計師的合作模式,以及將概念轉化為有意義公共體驗的實際步驟。
對談將由香港設計中心業務發展及項目總監胡燦森主持,並邀請中央聖馬丁藝術與設計學院代表擔任回應嘉賓。
本節對談適合有意了解策展人日常工作的學生和年輕專業人士參與。
Fireside Chat Session 1 : The Life Cycle of Curation
This session takes the audience behind the scenes of exhibition-making, revealing the complete life-cycle of curation. Curators / Speakers will share how ideas are developed, how challenges are overcome, and how final exhibitions are realised. Through real project examples, speakers will discuss curatorial decision-making, collaboration with artists and designers, and the practical steps required to turn concepts into meaningful public experiences. Ideal for students and young professionals who want to understand what a curator actually does on a day-to-day basis. Moderated by Roger Wu, with Andy Marsh and Naomi Lewis (Central Saint Martins) as respondents.

對談將由香港設計中心業務發展及項目總監胡燦森主持,並邀請中央聖馬丁藝術與設計學院代表擔任回應嘉賓。
我們邀請關注社會議題,並對策展與藝術設計感興趣的觀眾一同參與。
Fireside Chat Session 2 : Curation and Community
This talk explores how curation can go beyond aesthetics to genuinely connect with communities. Speakers will share how their exhibitions engage local residents, respond to community needs, and create lasting dialogue. The session will examine the relationship between curators, artists, and the public, and discuss practical methods for making exhibitions more inclusive and socially relevant. It is particularly valuable for audience interested in the social role of art and design. Moderated by Roger Wu, with Andy Marsh and Naomi Lewis (Central Saint Martins) as respondents.

本節對談探討香港設計中心如何透過展覽影響社會,並探討策展、藝術機構與學院如何透過城市規劃、跨界合作以及連結社區,共同創造持久的社會價值。來自英國中央聖馬丁藝術與設計學院的講者將分享他們在發展社區共融計劃,如何平衡藝術要求與肩負社會責任方面的經驗。
對談將由香港設計中心業務發展及項目總監胡燦森主持,並邀請中央聖馬丁藝術與設計學院代表Andy Marsh 以及 Naomi Lewis, 還有專長為文化項目做社會效益評估的Marianna Lemus-Boskovitch擔任客席嘉賓。對談將以英文進行。
Fireside Chat Session 3 : Curating for Social Impact: Institutional and International Perspectives
This session explores how curation, institutions, and academia collaborate to generate lasting social value through urban regeneration and community engagement. Experts from Central Saint Martins (CSM)—Andy Marsh and Naomi Lewis—share insights on inclusive programming and balancing artistic excellence with social responsibility, alongside Marianna Lemus-Boskovitch, who specializes in social impact measurement frameworks for cultural projects.
Moderated by Roger Wu, this forward-looking discussion offers candid takeaways and transferable lessons comparing King’s Cross (CSM) with leading Hong Kong institutions.

若本館經已開放,則開放時間維持不變。若黑色暴雨警告在本館開放前經已生效,本館將不會開放,直至黑色暴雨警告除下。倘若除下時距離本館閉館時間不足兩小時,當日將不會開放。
If the warning is issued during normal opening hours, the Hub will remain open.
If the warning is issued before the Hub opens, the Hub will be closed until the warning is cancelled. If the warning is cancelled less than 2 hours before normal closing hours, the Hub will remain closed that day.

About HKDC
Hong Kong Design Centre is a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in leveraging the city’s East-meets-West advantage to create value from design.
The major programmes include Business of Design Week (BODW), bodw Future Lab, DFA Awards, Fashion Asia Hong Kong and DESIGN@HKG (formerly BODW In the City). The Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), formerly known as Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) since 2009, was established in June 2024. CCIDA is a dedicated office under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR Government) to provide one-stop services and support to the cultural and creative sectors with a mission to foster a conducive environment in Hong Kong to facilitate development of the arts, culture and creative sectors as industries. CCIDA’s strategic foci are nurturing talent and facilitating start-ups, exploring markets, promoting cross-sectoral and multi-disciplinary collaboration, promoting industrialisation of the arts, culture and creative sectors under the industry-oriented principle, and fostering a creative atmosphere in the community, thereby reinforcing Hong Kong as Asia’s creative capital and our positioning as the East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange.
