Japanese Avant-Garde Black Metal legends SIGH return to Taipei after 15 years!
Personally discovered by Euronymous, founding guitarist of Mayhem, SIGH broke into the heart of the European extreme metal scene with their 1993 debut Scorn Defeat. For more than three decades, they have continued to shatter the boundaries of black metal, blending avant-garde, jazz, psychedelia, classical music, and traditional Japanese culture into a sound that is unmistakably their own.
SIGH have always stood as one of the most unique and defiant forces in the world of extreme metal.
Their latest concept album, GOH-KA, released in 2026, draws its inspiration from the Buddhist Kusōzu — the “Nine Stages of Decay” — exploring mortality, karmic flames, and fate. Black metal, progressive metal, psychedelic rock, and orchestral arrangements collide to create a hellish sonic feast filled with visions of death and damnation.
And this time, SIGH will take the Taipei stage with their most powerful full seven-piece lineup yet.
Blood-covered Dr. Mikannibal.
Savage saxophones.
Occult rituals.
A stage aesthetic straight out of a hellish scroll of visions.
This is not an ordinary metal show.
This is a SIGH-style Eastern heretical ritual.
