📖 Светица с брада, разпъната на кръст и по-късно „изтрита“ от историята - Света Вилгефортис става вдъхновение за най-новото представление на Ива Свещарова.Чрез женското тяло, разпятието и чудото “Нищо не е както си го мислим” изследва начините, по които създаваме образи, придаваме им значения и постепенно започваме да вярваме в тях. Защо имаме нужда да ги почитаме? Защо вярваме, а понякога се отказваме от тях?
Между религиозната иконография, съвременния танц, абсурда и иронията четири изпълнителки поставят под въпрос абсолютната истина.
Един образ може да бъде възприеман по различни начини. А онова, което днес приемаме за истина, утре може да се окаже грешка.

📖 A bearded female saint, crucified and later “erased” from history — Saint Wilgefortis becomes the inspiration for Iva Sveshtarova’s latest performance.
Through the female body, crucifixion, and miracle, the performance explores the ways in which we create images, assign meaning to them, and gradually begin to believe in them. Why do we need to worship them? Why do we believe in them, and why do we sometimes abandon them?
Moving between religious iconography, contemporary dance, absurdity, and irony, four performers question the notion of the absolutely true.
An image can be perceived in different ways. And what we accept as truth today may turn out to be a mistake tomorrow.
