We are really stoked to bring the Ène Sacwé Soundstation to La Source one more time... but with something else on the menu this time !! We plan to take you on a broader exploration of Reggae music than our usual Jamaican oldies nights.
To do so we gather with soundsystem veteran FATTA SOUL STEREO from Paris, France !! Active since the late 90's, Fatta is one of two co-founders of the Soul Stereo Soundsystem and has been a pillar of the French soundsystem scene ever since with unforgettable clashes and backing legendary Jamaican artists in a soundsystem showcase style, people like Johnny Osbourne, Lone Ranger, Dennis Alcapone, U Brown and many more !! Expect dubplates gallore from 1960's foundational sounds to modern day reggae !! Regularly touring around the world.. we are really excited to bring Fatta to Brussels one more time for a celebration of sound !!
To root this event in the local scene.. we had to bring in our good friends selector JAHKEHLiNE and MC ISAAC, co-founders of the very conscious Edutainment Sound but also known to participate in many other soundsystem ventures along with Fatma Sound, 54 Sound, Roots Corner Sound, Reservoir Dub, Brussels Roots Collective... You know them both, they are everywhere !! If you can hear a riddim skanking somewhere in or around Brussels.. there's a very big chance you'll bump into them, bringing deep vibes and thoughtful lyrics to every event they participate in !!
MC TiLLABERY will be with us to host this night in style !!
Originally from Niger, the scene in Brussels is blessed to be home to this beautiful soul !! Versatile MC, Tillabery was also the instigator and lead singer of The Steppers band active in the early 2010's.
Selectors COSTANZA & CHOMA ÈNE SACWÉ will be at the controls for this night.. active with fiery passion for Jamaican music since over 20 years now.. their roads have crossed when joining the Soul Vibration Collective a while back.. but they have both been trodding along for much longer than that.. each with other collectives too.. and both with quite some time spent sharing their love for reggae in a broad sense on different radios.
All playing on the ever evolving ÈNE SACWÉ SOUNDSTATiON !!
Karlito Reggae will be there again with a carefully curated selection of 7 inch records from his Black Gold Reggae Shop for all the collectors to dig through !!
Jamaican food and home made pizza to eat on the spot, along with deliciously crafted beers and softdrinks from La Source !!
Come early.. stay late !! It's going to be a night to remember !!
