About this Event
PRESENTED BY: School of Rock Vancouver & School of Rock Langley
She’s performed with rock royalty. Now experience YOYOKA’s extraordinary drumming up close!
In Vancouver for one day only, Japan’s 17-year-old drumming sensation comes to Soundhouse Studios for a one-hour drum clinic featuring live performance and audience Q&A.
YOYOKA first captured the world’s attention at just eight years old when her cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Good Times Bad Times” went viral and earned praise from Robert Plant. Since then, she’s appeared twice on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and performed with Cyndi Lauper, Fall Out Boy, Jack Black, Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine and Alex Lifeson of Rush.
Whether you’re a drummer looking for inspiration, an aspiring musician or a fan who loves watching incredible talent, this is your chance to:
- Experience her power, precision and infectious energy live.
- Watch the technique, groove and musicianship behind her playing.
- Ask your questions about drumming, performing and her remarkable musical journey.
Open to the public. Drummers of all levels and music fans welcome.
Bring your questions, bring a friend and reserve your spot to see YOYOKA live!
