Youth Social Action Boxing Empowerment in Angell Town, Brixton

This event is designed to inspire and empower young people in Brixton to reach their full potential through the art of boxing.

Our boxing empowerment programme is expected to empower participants to become the best versions of themselves through structured training and development platforms which includes goal setting, self-assessment, and peer review of performance.

The key objectives of our boxing empowerment programme are to:

• Improve health and fitness whilst learning the art of boxing

• Improve life choices through mentoring, goal setting, career advice, and skills training

• Manage emotions in a constructive way

• Build confidence and self-esteem

• Build positive relationships

• Foster a sense of community amongst attendees

ANTICIPATED OUTCOMES

• Reduction in vulnerability to gang membership, crime, and anti-social behaviour through improved career and life-choices

• Motivation to obtain affiliation with an England Boxing affiliated club and obtain Level 1 Boxing Coach Certification

• Motivation to develop a career as a boxing coach and/or sports and fitness instructor

• Motivation to pursue further education and training in sports and fitness
